The Environment — Our Commitment
Finanzauto, as part of the Tesya Group, has a carbon footprint reduction target of 37.8% by 2030 compared to the levels recorded in 2021.
In order to achieve the above objective, 3 lines of action have been set out:

Eliminating indirect CO2 emissions associated with the purchase of electricity
Reducing emissions associated with the company car fleet by 50%
Reduce emissions due to air conditioning systems and operations by 50%
Finanzauto's Commitment to Circularity
At Finanzauto we continue to develop various lines of business to increase the circularity of our activity, which allows us to reduce the consumption of raw materials and the consequent environmental impact and carbon footprint associated with their extraction, transport and production processes for the manufacture of new parts and equipment.
That is why we offer the market all kinds of solutions covering the entire value chain:
Sale and rental of used machines and engines
Engine rebuilding
Reconditioning of used parts
Certified machine rebuilds
Our Eenvironmental Policy
Download Environmental PolicyMain Environmental Aspects of Finanzauto
As part of our commitment to environmental protection, Finanzauto has identified the main environmental aspects associated with our activity in order to control them and work on a daily basis to prevent any possible undesired impact on the environment.
The main environmental aspects of Finanzauto derive from our after-sales service in the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment, and can be summarised as follows:

Consumption of natural resources and energy
Hazardous and non-hazardous waste generation
The residues most representative of our activity are waste oil, oil filters and contaminated absorbents.
Atmospheric pollutant emissions
These are mainly due to company vehicles and fixed installations (heating). It should be noted that since 2022 Finanzauto has a commitment to zero emissions due to electricity consumption in all its work centres, achieved thanks to the agreement with our electricity supplier for the supply of electricity from 100% renewable sources.
Polluting discharges
These entail the consequent potential for soil and water contamination.
Our Environmental Objectives
In order to control and manage potential environmental impacts identified by Finanzauto, the following environmental objectives have been established for 2024:

Increase the volume of recycled water in laundries by at least 50% vs. the volume recycled in 2021. This target was set for 2022 with a deadline of December 2024 due to the complexity of the solution.
Improve the energy efficiency of existing lighting systems by installing LED light fittings in all centres and instances where it is technically feasible.
Reduction of grid electricity consumption by an average of 15% in centres selected for technical and economic viability (Bilbao, Seville, Barcelona and Arganda), through the installation of photovoltaic panels for self-consumption of electricity, since their start-up. The aim is to reduce energy dependence by promoting self-consumption of photovoltaic energy.
Automotive fuel of renewable origin (HVO) - The environmental objective is that 20% of the automotive fuel consumed at the Arganda and Central bases should be of renewable origin (HVO). To this end, it is proposed to upgrade the current pump at the base for internal supply, as well as to facilitate the use of service stations already equipped for the supply of this fuel.
In addition to the targets set for 2023, those already achieved are listed below:
Sustainable mobility: incorporate at least one car into Finanzauto's pool vehicle fleet that is partially or 100% electric powered. Incorporated pool car on 3/4/24 plus a steering vehicle, in both cases plug-in hybrid.
Eliminate indirect pollutant emissions associated with Finanzauto's electricity consumption. As of the start of 2023, supply contracts have been signed ensuring that all centres are using electricity guaranteed to be from 100% renewable sources.

Energy Efficiency - Our Commitment
Finanzauto has a firm commitment to energy efficiency not only in all its processes, but also in the design and use of all its facilities and buildings.
Notable actions in the context of this commitment include the implementation and certification of an Energy Management System at its headquarters and base in Arganda del Rey (Madrid), which accounts for the most intensive energy use within the entire organisation. This allows Finanzauto:
- To control the company's most significant energy uses: energy and economic savings.
- To reduce our environmental impact and carbon footprint.
- To improve our brand image and competitive advantages

Our Energy Efficiency Targets

Reduction of electricity consumption at the Base Arganda and Central centres by 5% compared to the electricity consumed at these centres in 2023, through the installation of smart voltage stabilisers.
Savings of 33% in diesel C consumption at the Base Arganda centre, through the implementation of two lines of action:
- Replacement of heating system based on combustion boilers with new natural gas-fired radiant tube heating system.
- Installation of chrono-thermostats in halls and workshops that do not have them.
