Where has the machine previously been in service?

The conditions under which a used machine operates determine the wear and tear of its components. They affect not only the speed of deterioration, but which components suffer most. Using a second-hand machine in quarries, ports, or tough conditions makes it crucial to carefully inspect specific components, regardless of the operating hours it has on the clock. What maintenance has the machine undergone?

Good maintenance of a used machine, following the manufacturer's recommendations, can make its overall condition much better than would normally be expected for its hours, and vice versa. For this reason, the number of operating hours on the machine’s clock are not a reliable guide when assessing its general condition or price — it is important to conduct a general check of the machine to verify its condition and make sure that it is a worthwhile purchase. General condition of the used machine

Our mechanics check each machine thoroughly. More than 140 points are assessed in order to determine their exact condition. We do this because as an authorised Caterpillar dealer, our top priority is offering the confidence that comes with knowing a used machine's condition inside and out.

Documentation of the used machine

All the documentation for our used machines is in order, and our specialists will be able to advise you on any questions you may have in this regard. For example, for machines from outside the European Union to operate here, compliance with Spanish Royal Decree 1215/97 alone won't suffice — a CE certification, which only Caterpillar can issue, is mandatory.

Security of actual unit hours

We conduct a precise control process to ensure the hours logged on our equipment are accurate, preventing any equipment with a manipulated Hobbs meter from ever reaching you.

Lack of complete information can lead to poor decisions, and we work hard to ensure that doesn’t happen.
